When parking at an airport, you'll usually choose between the airport's own car parks and independent off-site operators.

On-site parking

  • Run by or for the airport.
  • Typically closer to the terminal with frequent shuttles.
  • Often more expensive, especially when booked at short notice.

Off-site parking

  • Run by independent companies outside the airport.
  • Can offer better value, particularly for longer trips.
  • Transfer times vary – check how often shuttles run.

What to check

  • Security accreditations such as Park Mark.
  • Transfer frequency and journey time.
  • Cancellation policy and what happens if your return flight is delayed.
  • Clear contact details for the provider.
